Finally found a free day to bag the front of my old buick... and the re-6's arent' going to work like i hoped... less than a 1/4" clearance in spots, and when collapsed, they rub... SO, since I want to NOT cut on this frame at all, I'm planning on just grabbing a set of the re-5's and hope they won't rub....

the question is, anybody have a reason I shouldn't go w/ the re-5?

the 5" of lift should be enough, i'm mostly concerned about the psi needed to lift to ride height, and whether or not a 5 gal tank at 150psi would do it, or if i need to run 200psi...

ALSO, i've seen conflicting measurements of 5" and 5.5" wide on these bags... any input?

If you only need another 1/4 to make the bag clear i would just cut the frame a little bit.

Dont know anything about the re5's so i cant help you there!

yeah id just cut for the 6's but if you use the
5's the slam specialties site say they have a 5.5" inch diameter, its their bag so id go by their measurements.

oddly enough, it says 5.5" on one page, then on the comparison page it shows 5".... i've emailed em, so hopefully I'll get a good answer...

GO 6... LESS PRESURE LOAD ON THE BAG AS WELL

yeah... the 6 lifts to clear the tires at 100psi or so.... I'm pretty sure that translates to needing 140psi to clear w/ a 5... but i've got a LOT of room in the fenders, so i'm pretty sure i can turn the thing laid out right now.... so the psi thing might not matter anyway... guess i'll see how far the wheel turns tonight and go from there...

it turns lock 2 lock at zero psi... i think the 5's are gonna be fine... even dropping another inch or so i don't think i'm going to hit anything...
