I have a flowmaster on my truck, no cat.. putting one on soon to reduces co2, NE ways, i'm trying to decide whether or not to replace the muffler with a quieter model, like an oem turbo muffler or something. I like the loud, but i can't hear my music, and my ears phase shift after a while, especially highway driving. What should I do??

put in a 24 inch glass pack, quiets it down a LOT. The cat will quiet it too.

Really, I thought glass packs were for making exhaust louder

not if you use them with a muffler. Thats why hondas are so loud with cat-back exhaust, they eliminate the "center resonator", which is just a glass pack.

can you put the glass pack after the muffler to quiet it down or does it have to be b4

I put a 36" glass pack and a catco high flow cat on my truck and it is quiet as a stock truck which is how I like it

I'm running a 40 series flowmaster on my truck with the cats and it is just right for me. It has a little sound to it but it does not drone when driving down the highway.
