Head Unit

I've heard about head units you can get that will fit in the stock location for an oldschool AM/FM with dual knobs. They're supposed to be digital, but work off the knobs and get AM/FM and can be hooked up to a CD changer. Does anyone know if these actually exist? And what they're called and who makes them?
