im building a center console for my chevy fullsize,its gonna hold 1 10" sub,i know theres a million combos to use but im lookin to do a simple setup,what speaker and amp to buy?ohms watts ect?

infinity kappa perfect. like 400 watts. very clean sound and still pound. they aren't expensive either. also, get a reputable name brand amp. RF,JL,MTX,etc.

do ohms and all that crap matter?can i use a 4 channel amp and do the doors plus the sub? dont know shit about audio

you could use a 4 channel yes. but i suggest you go to a shop and have them pair something up for you. even if it is circuit city. they carry decent stuff nowdays. its a lot to type, and a lot to take in at once if you don't know about it at all already. point made simple though, yes. bridge 2 channels to one, and send a channel to each side for componants with the remaining two after being bridged.

BUY LIKE A HIFONICS 5CH AMP AND A NICE FOSGATE P2 OR KICKER CVR SUB... SOMETHING CLEAN AND SIMPLE.
