Stock hood hits the power steering reservoir (i think thats what its hitting) on the girls '97 tacoma and the previous owner just made a nice tumor looking thing to clear it after the BD... what are some hood options besides cowl Any difference off the 4-runner hoods? would they fit? I only need somewhere around an inch more room.

Make a little bubble to clear it. Not totally flat but a good start. Post pics of the truck now that you have it. lol

it does have a little bubble it looks like a tumor or something. That's just it though it bugs me more than any of the other little body work it needs haha and it bugs her too. I'll post pics when I can take some im gonna try to find a nice spot tonight when she gets off work to take the truck.

DONT WORRY ILL TAKE PICS! haha

P.S. I'm trying to get her to upgrade her account so she can post!

Relocate the resovoir farther down in the engine bay like between the radiator wheel well area. Then you could use a stock hood.

I've seen people section them.

You could also get a biller one from Summit for like $20 and put it somewhere else.

can you cut out some of the hood skeleton, would that help you clear?
