Center Console overkill?

I am in the process of brainstorming on how to build my middle console for my 97 Ext. cab Silverado. I am wanting to clean up my dash and intergrade my EQ and my guages in the console...then i would like to intergrade my switches....then a computer....Is there such a thing as OVERKILL when it comes to designing a center console?

it is your truck. only you can decide if it is over kill. it also depends on the room that you have to pull it off. may be a tight fit trying to put that all in there. good luck with it

yea its true. if u cram it all into a tight space them maybe it might look like overkill. but once again its ur truck, only the maker can judge!

you can always hide things you don't need seen such as the EQ, and obviously the computer.

to be honest i havent seen a console way over done yet period.

ive seen one with 3 lcd screens (front camera, rear camera & dvd) and like 30 diffrent switches (air ride, elcetronics, etc etc) a cd player and some other stuff and even then it looked crazy a lil pointless for me on the front n rear camera but still. he built it for himself and although i wouldnt do it. he was happy keep in mind im not saying it looked bad at all. i think i just would have put some twists into it as it was just a smooth basic looking console from the side view.

Like they say, it's ultimately your decision but if you want my opinion I would have to question the computer. Depending on if you are wanting a clean looking interior, I'd hide the EQ if I could but not a real big deal. But if you use the EQ alot thats a different story.

id say as long as you have it laid out nicely then you could put as much as you want in there, but like everybody said, its your truck, do what you want with it, you have to see it everyday

thanks guys for the input...i was just worried about what might be determind as TOO much...I know its for me, not them as they say, but i have done things before and in the end,even i was like, 'uh...what the hell was i thinkin'...I will post pic's up after this weekend on a rough idea....THanks again homies...

i'm in the same boat right now, trying to decide on how to design and build my ctr console.. i've got good bow-staff skills with glass but i cant really picture what i want??? lol
