So i have had my compressor installed for years now. A few months ago i moved its location. It had a small little breaker in the power wire. The breaker was fried so i removed it. then i installed a switch on my dash to turn the compressor on and off. ever since i removed the breaker, my battery drains over night and i have to jump it. And thats with the switch off. If i put in a breaker again will it fix this problum? Im not sure how the compressor is drawing anything with the switch off, but i have gone over everything i can think of that would create a draw, and cant think of anthing else.

my two compressors are wired to a toggle switch and it works perfect, you have to wire it to an ignition source.that only works when you turn the key,i have an 80 amp 100%duty cycle selonoid,i also have 80 amp in line fuse under the hood going to a 30 amp fuse for each compressor!

Stick a fuse in there. If it blows, you have a short somewhere along the way. Id suggest replacing the whole line of wire.

So, just put the fuse right at the compressor?

No, the fuse should be as close the battery as possible.

not quite, the fuse should be 6 - 12 inches from the battery, if you put it right at the battery it will turn into a bad thing lol

Turn into a bad thing like how? Like turn into a Gremlin or something? It's not that easy to attach a fuse with a fuse holder any closer than 6 inches, but if you do manage to do it, it won't be bad.

Its not that hard to do, but for the best electricity flow you want it at least 6 inches from the battery, but too far away and it also wont give premium flow...

Did you ever fix the problem?
