"All good things must come to an end. As many of you know I have been working on this Tahoe from the day I got it back in 1998. After making a cover issue of former Truckin' SUV magazine and a spread in Truckin' Magazine it was time for a change. The big transformation from up on 40's to dropped on 26's started about 3 years ago now. What a plan I had for this truck, my pride and joy. I know lots of people have told me I was crazy to cut up a perfectly good truck, but hey I wanted that extreme factor. After two years of slow progress I grew more impatient with the build up. I wanted it now, not after someone else had already done it. Last February I ordered a Chevy Kodiak 4x4, thinking it would be a quick project to get me on the road, and back to some shows. Well as you can see the Kodiak is still not done, but I am however really close. Now picture having two trucks in a shop and both of them were not drivable. Not only were they not drivable but having big bucks in parts just sitting there on a shop floor. When I had the LS7 (it's sold) I was one of the first handfuls in the US to have the crate engine. What good is a multiple thousand dollar motor if you can't hear it running? Anyhow to get back on track, I pulled both projects from the shop I had them at and brought them back to our shop here at home. No hard feelings with the ex shop it was just time to move on. I have been debating on what to do with the Tahoe for quite some time now, but it just flat out needs to much more work. More work means more money, and I'm tired of putting in dough on something I can't drive for years to come. I was going to put the Tahoe in a barn and just store it for a rainy day, but no matter what I kept think about how much more money it was going to take to finish it. Today 4-26-2007 I tore the truck apart, taking what was left of the frame, from the cab forward, and the suspension, which was only the front, off to store. There really was nothing left besides the shell of the Tahoe. Yea it was completely rescinded in new sheet metal and yes there was lots of money in it but I was not going to sell it and someone else finish it. Screw that! So as you will see in the video, I had one of our employees run it over with a Cat D8. Don't worry though I will build another one someday, just maybe not as insane. So please take a moment and remember this fallen Hoe......."
