ya i guess i could just weld in a top bracket like you have done anybody else know how tall to make the top bracket?

i used 5in dia for my cups on my 00 gmc also

i used ekstensive metal works bracket kit which is a cup on bottom and a torsion type bag plate on top, works great cause then they lay out with no spindles on 20s

they will lay out without spindles on 20s with cups too. I think it is 6 or 7 inch tall cup and flat plate on the bottom. Trim a bit of the spring pocket on the lower control arm...

with DJM Lower Control arms (2") and using a 4" tall top cup 5" OD, and a Lower cup 2" tall 5" OD pipe will lay out on 22's and 20's. Know for a fact.

For the top we use a 5" round tubing thats 4" long and it will lay a 22 with that...and for the bottom we grind the high spots and weld a bag plate on the bottom.
