well i dunno if this is too late but i am in the middle of z'ing my 99 ranger. and on fuel lines i just un bolted them and used a ratchet strap around the tranny to hold them clear of the frame and heat. i cut my floor for my tranny but it actually clears but it was helpful any way. i originally didn't move the tranny up, i just unbolted it and it didn't work so well. i found that if you put the truck on stands at the body mont up front (behind c arm) and made all four cuts you could use a jack under the engine cradle, but you need a second jack for the trans. if not you will get the tranny lowering as you jack up. i did mine by myself two or more people would have been nice. also advice for you i would weld a piece of 1x1 or something between the front frame hornsso it will hold them square. make sure you have c arms and all other stuff off it will make it much easier to move around. also make sure the truck is level and all your cuts are perfect. ifyour cuts are crooked it will shift the motor forward or back. also i did not plate the inside of the frame. i didn't have any kind of room (with motor still in there) i did gusset tops and bottoms and plated the outside, and welded the gap on the inside. beefy is always better, but i am on a deadline and i am gonna pull the motor later to plate it all. um other than that dont forget you need to make a new crossmember under the back of the cab (std cab) because the drive shaft will hit. atleast mine does. other than that it is a lot of work. more than i realized. but it is sweet as hell. all the wiring sucks though to relocate fuse box and harness's. good luck.
