7.5 rear axle?

is this just a bad idea to put with a 302 swap or could it handle the motor? Or should I just wait and find an 8.8 from the 90 4.0? Also, what is the width of the Mustang 8.8?

the mustang 8.8 is about eth same width as the explorer. it will hold the power long as you dont do a lot of burnouts w/ drag slicks on it.

so that means the mustang 8.8 is a little too wide to tuck on my mazda, and did you mean the 7.5 would handle it as long as I'm not doing burnouts? Its only for cruising around town with a few shorter trips on the highways.

yea probably, cuz i ahve a 7.5 stang axle and its wider then my stock 7.5 in my 85.

thanks James, I'll get in touch with the wreckers tomorrow and get one from either an 88 or 89, know the width on those? I believe they went 1.5" larger in 92, right?
