Will tranny work ???

So i found out I need a new tranny for my 97 2wd tahoe, which sucks, but I was talking to my brother and he has a friend that he gave a 93 chevy fullsize to a few years ago. That friend still has the tranny. So my question is, will the transmission work on my 97 tahoe. Both are 2wd.

what is in the 93?

all i know is it's an automatic

if the 93 has a 4L60e in it then it should work if the plugs are the same

prolly has a 700r4.....
