Just wondering who street races? Here where I live the media is making a huge deal about it. They are trying to crack down on it.

Yeah that happend here in Tampa like 4 years ago. Totally killed it. I havent been out in some years but hear it still goes on but the cops dont bullshit anymore. They block the area off and everyone gets tickets, not like back in the day they just flash the light and everyone goes somewhere else.

up here in east tennessee last year a dodge viper and a superchared mustang raced on the busiest street in town and the super charged mustang(i went to school with the driver of the mustang) he rearended another girl that i went to school with going 120 mph...

hes in jail- the girls car exploded and she supposedly burned to death- but her friend made it out but had to spend weeks on hospital for burns..

so now in TN its a felony to streetrace

just thought id share that story

like 3 1/2 years ago a nuclear physicist died racing, it was in national news he owned a company in boise that just went public. he was in an old mazda car (rx 3 or somthing like that) it had a 1400 hp all alumiumn motor and a 3 stage 500 shot of NX on it. he was racing a buddy with a 10 second Nova and hit the NX and blew a front tire and rolled several times No helmet and only the lap belt of the 5 point. His wife and daughter watched him die. That stopped all the racing around here and they started impounding cars after that. To me its not worth the risk.

It is ignorant for others on the road, they aren't choosing to do anything dangerous, yet they have the same chances of getting injured.
