If you dont care about the glass the easy way to get it out is. Break the side ones with a spark plug then cut the glue off the truck with a box cutter (wear some work gloves)

The windshield can easily be removed if you punch a hole in it with a big screwdriver then cut out the middle out with a sawzall, you can then cut the glue and the reamains of the window out with a box cutter (wear some work gloves)

These are both messy ways to do it, but quick. i have done them many times at Pick n Pull when i was taking the roofs off of Rodeos for doners for my chop top.

Oh yeah i have used the piano wire method too that is a pain in the butt, and takes forever but will get the job done. Hint use a flexibe putty knife, and heat it till its red with a torch to help cut into the glue so you can get the piano wire through.

Yea I had a replacement shield put in my GTI and the glass guy was cool enough to cut my front and back glass outta my 88 for free.
