i have a 51 chevy sedan....

first of all, i just started this account, my other account is under "rebelyellbmx"...anyway...i have a 51 chevy with a 216 ci straight 6....manual transmission....i was wondering if i could mate up the transmission from my 94 sonoma (4.3l v6 with an auto 4 speed tranny)? if anyone could help me out thatd be great! thanks guys!

is that a nope it wont work? i just read in ol skool rodz that a guy put an auto trans from a 93 camaro, mated it up to a 235 straight six in a 51...

well the bellhousing bolt patterns are different.... maybe there is some kit?

I dont know about the auto part...I am sure it is just an adapter plate.

I know alot of guys put 4 banger 5 speeds on flatheads.

i would do a search for bell housing adaptors or plate but it would be much easier to just install a 350

Check out Advanced Adapters. I guarantee its been done. I mean, if they have a kit to hook up a Chevy 4.6L to a 1942 Ford/Willys transmission, they have to have what you need.
