So we are mounting the rear cylinders. Having to mount them as floating cylinder due to setting this up on an IRS and needing it to have a little play due to the motion being an Arch instead of just all up and down. No my question is what do you use to try and keep the cylinder from rubbing on the frame and also from moving to much and only with what is needed... is there a type of bushing or hiem joint or something ... that can go inbetween the cylinder and the frame to keep it from moving all around and only moving as much as i need it to ???

I take what your describing as this = you need spherical cylinder rotation to follow the track of your independent. Ideally what lowriders use on high end installs is called a spherical bearing. You just measure the O.D. on your cylinders and buy one with the same size I.D. from a manufacturer or manufacturing supply distributor. But they're kinda pricey so what a lot a installers usually do for your average install is opt for a high quality rubber flange to slide inside a doughnut for flex instead. Street guys cut pipe and slide a little kids Rubbermaid sippy cup in it with a hole in the bottom lol. That's kinda all side of the spectrum, from the 150,000 show vehicles clear down to the barrio. Hope that helps out man, if I misunderstood just drop me an e-mail anytime for advice (modifiers.j@gmail.com - I'm not a minitrucker so I'm not on here much)

No prob, Anytime man. It looks like you may already be on the rubber route I get some of my rubber install stuff by size and flexibility from http://www.hanna-kc.com but I live by em' so I'm not sure how complete their online catalog is on molded rubber products.

I use nylon. Its real easy to machine and very durable. Make your clearance hole though the center then machine the ID down to fit into the frame and leave a landing at the top so it won't fall through the frame. Drill and tap a couple holes into the frame so you can toe clamp it into place. They last a long time and the cylinder won't rattle around making alot of noise.
