depends on how thick you want it but 1/4,1/2, 3/4 or a full inch it just depends on what you want also take in mind when you stretch the material over the foam that it compresses, and it depends if you want designs in it too on how thick or thin to go. good luck

SENCOND THAT BIT I DON'T THINK YOU WILL NEED OVER HALF INCH

Right on, so it sounds like to me that half inch of foam should do the trick for some designs...if so thanks for the info guys...L8TR
