I own a 2003 Civic Si and I'm trying to decide on how to create my sub set-up. I've got a couple ideas. A simple false floor with a single 13w7 and two JL amps or a set up with 3 10" Subs (haven't decided on what subs to go with on this set-up) and glass all three in the spare tire. But I need some opinions. If I go with the w7 I know it's mountin depth is massive so I'm need ideas how to create the false floor set-up and I"m affraid if I go with fiberglass I will be losing a ton of sound quality as it will be ALL glass unless someone has a better idea of how to mount the subs?

Do I lose sound quality from F/G? what if I put Dynomatt on the bottom molding of the glass and then glass the MDF ring and top section would that help any?

SO after doing a little bit more studying I realized the 13W7 is WAY to big for a false floor set-up. Any hense I'm wanting to keep this clean I dont want a prefabbed box... SO I have talked to a local audio dealer hear and he is wanting to hook me up with an ALL Matts Pro Audio system. He swears by their products and took me to his Avalanch just to prove he even uses them... I'm going to go for SQ and a clean look what would you do?

Mmatts may have changed in recent years, but I believe they are meant to get loud...and not necessarily sound good doing it. Tell him you want to hear a setup comparible (within reason) to yours. Don't base your final opinion on equipment based on how his sounds, all cars sound different. Even the same make cars with the same exact setup, same tuning, and same song......will sound different.

Listen to a modest system that is equivelent quality wise, and product wise (Mmatt subs that you are going to run) and get a general idea of the sound. Just remember, anywhere from too muddy, too tight, too quiet and too loud are based (90% of the time) on the install itself.
