trying to identify this engine, can anyone help?

alright so far i've found the following:

casting number 3970010


behind the timing gear set i found 010 and G28


on the backside of the motor i found 010 and H15


I also found D129 on the back of the block as well.


also found the number 7 in big font and the letter S on opposing sides of the back of the motor.

also just found these ontop of one another seem to be like partial vins:

VO 16T3F
C8F4 46954

need the numbers on the pass side right about the water pump and on the back of the block are the 2 main ones you need

the numbers right above the water pump are the partial vins that i listed.

the number on the back of the block, the casting number is listed as well.

95% of the time the 3970010 means it's a 350, but there's been 2 or 3 blocks that have thrown me for a loop. (i used to work in a machine shop for 2 years) the only way to be SURE is to measure the bore diameter. 350's have exactly 4" (unless it's been bored already)

1969-79 3970010 350 185 370 2 or 4 car, truck, Vette

wow that's cool, it's a 4 bolt main and from the D129 then it's a 350 from April 12th 1979, damn i wish i knew what vehicle it actually came from...what can i do with the partial vin C8F4 46954 to figure out what this came in?
