i have 2 12" kicker CVR 2ohm subs and a MTX 600XD class d amp 1 channel (645rms). i'm not sure on which way to wire them? in series or parellel and whats the differance?

are the subs dual or sigle voice coil???? the differnce will change the impedance ... what ohm stable is your amp????

the subs are dvc and the amp is stable at 2ohm i think i'll double check

WIRE PARALELL FOR 2 OHM

YOU NEED TO SERIES EACH SUB TO 4 OHMS THEN PARRELL THEM TOGETHER SO THE AMP WILL SEE 2 OHMS. GO TO JLAUDIO.COM AND THEY HAVE WIRING DIAGRAMS TO SHOW YOU EXACTLY HOW TO DO IT

correct me if i'm wrong, but if you have dual voice coil subs that are 2 ohms each and you wire each sub up in parallel, you will need a 0.5 ohm stable amp. one 2 ohm DVC sub wired parallel will be 1 ohm. two of those would be 0.5 ohm.

if you wire each sub in series (2 ohms from each sub) and then bridge it on the amp, it will be 1 ohm.

i forget how, but i think you should wire it so each sub will be 4 ohms, then bridge it on the amp, so it will be 2 ohm. since your amp is 2 ohm stable. don't want to go lower than that.

i think you:

take a negative (DVC #1) run it to a positive (DVC #2)
take a positive (DVC #1) run it to a negative (DVC #2)
take a positive (DVC #1) run it to a positive on the amp
take a negative (DVC #2) run it to a negative on the amp

do the same for the other sub.

lol. not sure if this is correct. i'm just rambling on and on. incorrect info is probably worse than none at all. lol

thanks kyle, i'll wire them to 2 ohm like above
