are 2wd k5s relly hard to come by or are they just undesirable? the reson i ask is that ive only seen a hand full of these trucks costumized and i love mine. so with that in mind its hard to find any info on builds and so forth just trying to get some ideas on how to do some certain things any help would be great thanks

There arent many of them around.

The easiest way to get one would be to find a cheap 4WD one, and remove the front suspension, transmission and transfer case and replace it with 2WD parts. The frame has all the holes to bolt in a 2WD trans. crossmember, and all the holes are already there to bolt on the 2WD front suspension.

i know i am gonig to hear shit but we 2 linked it with the bags on the bars. it will lay the gas tank. we weldrd a bar from side to side at the end of the link bars the rear does not move one bit. but of course this way does keep from laying. i set it up so the shocks would bottom out and keep it from hitting the cross bar. checkout gaugemag and hotridesmag.com spring fling it is a blue and silver k5.

that looks nice its along the lines of what i was thinking its just a little harder because i have a unibody and no bed to take off did you have to cut your iner fenders to lay out?
