colorado / rodeo (OZ) similarities -

im building a 2006 holden rodeo down in australia. modding this vehicle is still new as here and findin help, parts and general knowledge is quite hard.

was wondering what front end suspension comes std on the colorado. we have a coil front end on our 4cy 2wd models and torsion bar fronts on the v6.

lookin into control arms, spindals and all the gear for the front. tryin to work out what i can get from US and what i have to get made here!

i had a look at the gtc ones they are makin up but still dont no how similar the original suspension set ups are. cant find any std sus. pics of the colorado.

so dont no if they will fit straight on or even things like whether ball joints wil bind etc etc on the std arms when i lay the front out??

if i can fin dout if the fronts are th esame then i can ask someone what issues i will run into!

Im almost positive that the suspensions are the same...the cab is identical to the colorado and i wouldnt convert the front end...i think the stock front end rocks! the body lines wouldnt really flow if u did the colorado clip...

as for the front end i am more then likely goin to graft 2 guards and keep the same wheel arches. i had a hand in doin a new nissan front end on a hardbody the same way. we have a new updated model out now and will be using those guards and wellback, they have more square arches and lines.

and also everyone has my front end over here! havin a coly front will be differant! im keen for someone to do a swap??

that does make sense about the front end swap, if everyone has Holdens there, then why not do an import Colorado front? I say do it...

if someone is keen for it the lets do a swap!! works out a shit load cheaper for both sides and u dotn have to pay for parts u both just pay for the shipping that u had to pay for anyway!!!!

I like your front end so much better, i absolutley hate the Colorado front ends they look to big for the size of the truck.Also your wheel wells look like you could put 24s under that.

I thought they had colorados in aus.

na bud no colys here. well i have seen 2 in my life but god knows how they got them here with import laws. i havent had the chance to flag em down.

im goin to run 22-24 combo just so i got plenty room up front after the BD.

if anyone has spare parts in th eway of front end let me no. even stock gear comes in handy for the build and i can upgrade when its all together.
