Alright guys... i need help again please... I have an '04 Chevy Silverado and recently my coolant temperature gauge has been acting funny, causing my DIC (Driver info center) to read "Engine Coolant Hot"... but the reason i say its acting funny is because i dont really believe its getting hot... I'll be driving or whatever, and all the sudden the needle shoots from 210, which is more or less normal, and hits up into 260, which causes the message to appear... then a few seconds go by and the needle goes back to 210 and the message goes away?!?! I am thinking its the Thermostat thats maybe going out? But im not sure... i was wondering if anyone has had this happen or knows whats going on? thanks guys!

id flush it and replace the thermostat sometimes it takes a while to heat up radiators are supposedly supose to be flushed like every 2 years for optimal cooling abilities or so ive been told
