What is the proper way to roll a fender? I want to do it without destroyin the paint!

The proper way would be to roll them prior to painting them, lol. J/K, they used to make a tool that bolted to the hub assy on the vehicle and had an adjustable arm w/a large nylon wheel on the end of it that would roll the fenders. Not sure if it did it w/o damaging paint though. The stress of the metal being reshaped and the limited flexibility of the paint would probably play a big part on whether or not the paint cracked or flaked while you were rolling it. I honestly cannot remember who made this tool, but you might be able to search for it online. Hopefully you will come up w/something. Sorry I couldn't help more.

u can use and an old wooden bat, just cut the nobb of the handle part and use what ever part u need just start slow and work your way up its free and it rolls your fenders as well, that what i did with mine, but as far as chipping paint i have no clue it might and it might not just test on something first like your buddies truck... good luck

Tape a line along the lip where the tire is rubbing and ...

I take it you want to roll the fenders on your dodge. The front fenders can be rolled by hand. Just grab the fender and squeeze the lip to the outter fender skin. This will cause the fender to naturally flare out a little. Enough to give you more clearance and not look bad. The rear have to be cut. You cant flair them very easily. They are double supported with steel. The lip is about 1/4 thick and if you roll them it will mess up the paint alot. You have to cut them. Check out Dodgetalk.com. There's alot of info on flairing the fenders on a dodge over there.

My guess is you are going to have a hard time not messing up your paint rolling the fenders. The stress it will put on the paint will cause it to chip.
