ranger dreams or drop beams

i'm posting this for my friend with an i-beamed ranger and we are both too lazy to look for a forum on it. we were just wondering if there is a difference between the dream beams and just regular drop beams besides what you can see. they both seem to serve the same purpose but i'm looking more towards the dream beams because they're cheaper. anyone had problems with the dream beams?
