1999, 2.2liter, 5-spd. I just replaced the starter yesterday, it was doing well until tonight, now it's stuck in a Fred Meyer's Parking lot. It acts as though it has no power, although the battery is fine, all the lights and stereo are fine and are getting enough power. It's not even clicking. I'm pretty sure it'll still push start, but I was in a crowded parking lot by myself, I didn't want to risk it. Also, the brake pedal was REALLY firm but barely put anything to the brakes, I was rolling while jamming my foot into the pedal hard. Also, it's been resetting everything when I rev it hard, up around the 5000 mark, my guages will just go nuts on me for a second as though the battery is surging then dying or something, but it keeps running fine. Any ideas? (Ideas more descriptive than just a wiring issue?)

...ALSO CHECK THE MAIN POWER LINE FROM BATTERY TO STARTER, YOU WILL HAVE TO UNBOLT YOUR STARTER AGAIN TO SEE IS THE CRIMP ON THE POSTIVE WIRE IS LOOSE OR IF THE TERMINAL BROKE...A SURGE OF POSITIVE POWER WILL CAUSE GAUGES TO JUMP, HAPPENED ON MY 2.2L AUTOMATIC. HOPE THIS HELPS!!!
