yes, bryan speaks the truth. But a 1 inch z is a little over, what I did was build a jig under the old frame and welded the front clip SOLID to it. I used pins to locate all the body mounting points spaced the rails up so that the NEW rails would be level with the front crossmember, about a 1/2 inch. You have to do this, because likely right now you are measuring the stock frame rail and realize that it is just under 5 inches tall, so if you replace it with a 3 inch frame rail you will only get a 2 inch body drop, right? Well, this 1/2 inch "z" (doesnt feel like a z the way you are doing it but if you think about it, thats exactly what is happening) lets you put the new body mount at the bottom of the new frame rail and gets you enough to lay rocker. Mine lays pinch, but only because I havent rolled the rockers under yet, it will lay frame.
