illumination on gauge cluster

The illumination lights on my gauge all of a sudden quit working on my 98 Tahoe. I pulled the cluster and started pulling bulbs looking for burnt out ones and every bulb marked illumination was fine. Everything works on the cluster, all the dome lights and all other electronics in the truck are fine. Any ideas on how to fix this because it sucks not knowing how fast your going at night.

flashlight...nah, j/k...checked all your fuses? or tried different bulbs? make sure they are making good connection....idk bro

I checked all fuses and they were fine and all connections look fine. really stumping me.
