i cranked my bars down up front tonight. alot. do you guys just remove the bumpstop and shorten it? or am i cool to leave it off? also, where can i get good, not spendy blocks? do i need an angled one? thanks.

yes you need angle blocks...try local off road shops in your area. they usually stock the angled steel ones. OH, but they are not cheap...close to $50 range best i rem.

30-50 is fine, i just dont want junk. is aluminum better?

well aluminum is not always better if you have a very heavy truck or a truck with a lot of horsepower, but since you've prolly only got 90hp and your truck prolly only weighs 3k lb, aluminum should do the trick. you can turn the front bars down so low it'll bottom out the front shocks. cut that bumpstop, its definitely in your way. in the rear, you will most likely need a 3" block and no i used a straight. pinion doesn't need to be pointin at the ground so dont use an angled. when i static dropped mine i turned the bars all the way down till it bottomed the shocks out, and then came back up a few turns, and yes i had to trim the inner fenders. in the rear i did a mono-leaf and a 3" block, and had to mini-notch the rear frame cause the axle was so high. the gas tank corssmember needed to be trimmed a bit so the driveshaft wouldn't rub.. i guess it all depends on how low you go on the static drop as to how much fender you need to cut or how high to notch the frame. i could damn near drag up reflectors. a brand new one i could scrape the top off of. so i was about 2" off the ground. and yes they'll go that low without spindles or anything. but you cant bring it up as you wish, like air, so you kinda gotta watch where you drive. if i were you, i'd pull out one of my leafs, the second one, do a 3" block, and turn the bars up or down to make the truck level. you'll have a decent ride, and prolly be close to tuckin tire on a 17. it'll look sharp. any lower than that and you're gonna ride like crap. the front shocks dont like to be dropped so low.

i was on the stops, so i took them out for now. i have some cone style i might cut down and use without the factory hit pad above the arm. and out back, just pull my overload and do 3" blocks. lower the front to match. its my daily, and roads here suck so i dont wanna static too low.

sidenote: my front tires rubbed at near lock, so i ditched my liners. prob solved. thanks,

4wd fenders pal.. and you may have to grind off a nut or two. the fenders have some nuts welded on them from the backside close to your tire. if your tire gets to rubbin them, just grind the nut off or cut your fenderwells. if u wanna keep it daily, make it high enough in the fromt where it doesnt rub the inner fenders. keep it high enough where u aint gotta cut the world up to turn.

already have a 4runner clip im peicing together. still need the core, pass fender and pass headlight. have the rest. ill go lower when i get those parts. i probably have another inch before i cant fit the tires and wheels i have in my 2wheelers.

ive determined im going to drop the back a bit for now. then redo the front inner fenders for bags and put some 4xs on. that way ill have plenty of space, and am set up for more drop later. raise the backs at a later date. main problem will be i need more backspacing. so that means wheels. im gonna hunt for some different 14s for now i think, or 15s. 17s. i dunno.

damnit, this is the daily...not the project...
