So here is the deal, I put a RCI fuel cell in with a 0-90ohm GM sending unit that came with the cell. My fuel gauge was off a 1/4 tank before the fuel cell. Now, with the cell, its only a tank off.

Full tank is at E and it rapidly falls with just short trips. I looked in the cell and it was still very much almost full.

Now, my question is did GM change the resistance on the 2g(00 in this case) sending units? If so, does any know what they are? I know it should be 0-35-90 if it was not changed.

Also, no codes are being thrown for the lack of the EVAP

i have a fuel cell with aftermarket pump and my fuel gauge stays on E or within an 1/8 of a tank. I was told that I needed to get the 0-90ohm gauge. Not sure if this helps but I thought I'd give my 2 cents anyway

With some thinking on both parts we came to this conclusion.

Factory sender is a one wire, the after market is a two wire. Resistance pre-ground was correct, but with the ground grounded it was lower. The guessing game is how much more resistance do we need.
