i came across a sb chevy in my brother in laws garage and i want to put it in my taco. i am hoping that somebody has this in there truck or knows of somebody that did. im am looking for the right motor mounts and any possibly problems as far as making it work and not cutting a hole in the hood. the front end is bagged on 20's but in the new future it will be stock floored. thanx in advance for any helpful info.

those folks do all kinds of motor swaps in toyotas and they have those universal motor mounts that i'm sure will work in the taco. only problem i see is your oil pan. you will need to have one built most likely. most all chevy v8s have a rear sump oil pan, in a tacoma the rack and pinion steering is in the rear of the motor which makes it necessary to have a front sump oil pan which the factory taco engines do have, i'm sure moroso or somebody makes a front sump pan for chevys but the depth will be an issue being that your truck is gonna lay the crossmember on the ground. dunno. it may be an easy swap but chances are, it'll be a lil tougher than expected. they always are.
