Ive seen ppl take a 6" drop ball mount and flip it upside down so it actually raises 6"....just gotta be careful to not back your tailgate into the trailer

My boy Chris got the hitch behind the tag and flips the receiver.. pulls fine and has plenty of clearance from the ground. make sure you buy the one behind the tag if you run a roll pan.. Some of the Hidden Hitches aren't behind the tag like you would think.....

i still had the bumper on my truck, but it was too low to have a hitch under it, and too low to put a ball on, so i made a hitch receiver that fit behind it, then just took the tag off and slid in a hitch that i made.....

i used to run a 4" drop hitch flipped on my lowered 02 silverado.

worked fine.
