Ok, right now my truck is bagged on mono-leafs with blocks. I was wondering if I set up my 4-link while still having on the leaf springs, would that help with keeping most of the geometry close to what it should be. Because right now my pinion angle is correct through all travel. Thanks for any help or suggestions you guys could give me

yes it will help i didnt do it this way due to spave limitations but its deffintally alot easier to do it this way

you can do that or you can lower the truck all the way down and tack the axle to the frame. You can then remove the spings and all hardware and that will make room for your lower 4 link bars under the rails.

i used some scrap bars welded to my notch so i could take off all of the springs... i know troy welds the axle to the notch with the u-bolts so that he can tweak the pinion if needed. keeps the axle perpendicular to the centerline and still allows some movement.

Thanks for the input guys. I was going to run it inboard of the frame anyways to still be able to keep the springs on for setting it up correctly. That way I can tack it on and cycle through to see if i have any problems that need fixin or tweakin. Also should i set it up at ride height, half, or laid out? Ive heard all three, but ive read half most of the time.

half travel is the best to set up the 4 link. but make sure u set the pinion angle at ride height.

Tape measures work great too. just use body mounts or some other point on the frame that is duplicated on each side of the vehicle.
