has anyone coverted from sliding glass to solid glass? what did it take?

Solid glass and a new gasket would be my guess. A haynes or chilton manual that shows you how to do the actual labor if you are unfamiliar with it.

I have had it changed while in the shop for other work, but not done it myself so I don't want to tell you the process wrong.

i know that there is an episode of trucks and they show you how to put in a rear window. take some rope not to thick and rap it around the seal with some soap and just leave some hanging in the cab. get one buddy to push on the window
as you pull the rope in, but make sure that you pull the rope at the same spot where your buddy pushes the window in but not to hard. its a little harder than just this but it saves you many hours of trying to put the window in your self good luck though i did it with mine and 45min most to do it...

Rear windows are easy to swap. I've had to do it in a parkign lot. It can be done with a key and two shoelaces(to put it back in).
