I'm in desperate need of some midrange speakers. I have a 01 S10 with the 6.5" in the doors and 4x6" in the dash. I've been looking on Ebay for some quality speakers but am unsure of what to buy. I'm looking to spend no more then $200 on a nice set of 6.5" and $100 on a pair of 4x6". I have (2) 15" subs now that just drown out my highs and it kills me. I need something that will go with some my subs. I'm a bass head so I really only listen too Rap/RB/Techno, stuff like that.I was thinking about a set of 6.5" Boston Acoustics but they get pricey. Also was looking at the 6.5" RE components. What does every think?

i have been using Polk audio in my cars for years, I love them...not 100% sure about the DB Series but the Momo series is great!

I have always been an MB Quart Fan. Great sound quality. The new JL's sound pretty crisp too. I would go ahead and run an amp to your mids and highs also if you are pushing alot of bass and it is drowning out the words

I have been told Boston Acoustic sounds very nice. RE, don't know anything about their 6.5 but people say their subs are the shit. I couldn't decide for you but like Keele said above, I have also used nothing but MB Quart and have never been disappointed. Even their cheap stuff sounds excellent.
