A friend gave me this Air compressor for free. He said it came off of a semi truck. I was wondering if anyone new anything about them. Is it worth using? How do I hook it up? I have a good idea for making a bracket to mount it. I just don't know about plumbing it or an on/off switch.

take some degreaser spray it all over it and a putty knife to clean it up a little bit and after that if you a have a friend or no someone that works at a dealership or factory see if you can send it in with with him to put it in a parts washer. thats a start and ill try to find a diagram for plumbing it up.

I found what I was looking for. this is a Climate Control inc. compressor. CCI bought out Borg-Warner. Borg-Warner makes the York compressor.

You will need to get a clutch for it and wiring a pressure switch is just like any other compressor.

Typically the larger port is the inlet.

Thanks Biomax. I will be getting a clutch soon. It says on top witch is suction and discharge.

I already have 2 presure switches on my tanks hooked into my Viairs. I am still a little confused on where and how to hook up a switch for this compressor.
