i got a good one that happened at work over eleven years ago. i got to work at about 5 minutes to 6 in the morning, i was told to jump in this work truck and follow another two guys out to a jobsite, the truck was allready loaded up. as i got about seven miles down the highway the two 18" pieces of spiral pipe on the top rack flipped up and took off one hit the windsheild of a passing truck and bounced over it doing nothing, the second however, landed on the road and another passing truck hit it dead on, as i looked in the mirror all i could see was a spark show. by the time i slowed enough to turn around and get back, i pull up to see the little bronco 2 upside down and backwards. he caved in the pipe and it locked under his front tires and he skidded to the ditch at that time the pipe came out and his front tire sunk in the mud, flipping him a couple times. he crawled out, no seat belt and he was fine. a passing car stopped to help and the guy gets out and says"hey i didn't know the hatch on one of those was made of fiberglass" the accident victim looked as if he could care in the very least. i helped him pick up all his fishing gear until the cops showed up. then the two guys i was following finally came back to see what had happened(the guys who tied down the load). i finally was leaving the scene back to the shop and my buddy pulls up to get the smashed pipe, driving the BIG RIG 20 some odd foot steak bed, jamming on the breaks trying to make the driveway. a geo metro riding his ass locks up the breaks causing a chain reaction until the 5th car, a semi, locks em up and jack knives into the ditch and rolls over. you couldn't believe the looks on everyones faces. that was a very memorable day, at that time i had to leave. nothing like a state trooper saying "get the fuck off my roadway"
