Ok im new to rangers so excuse the newbie ?'s Ive done searching on the front and have come to notice that is alot of work to lay out on 20's. First cause of the upper control arms are so short camber kicks in quick and the lack of a drop spindle. Now my question is has anyone tried using a pretaco drop spindle and custom upper arm? And would it do any good? thanks

probably not since it would throw the geomotry completly off. just use djm arms and you ahve to z the frame to lay frame.

Camber on a ranger is one of the things that make them so awsome!!!

Your spindle idea won't work well without reworking alot more things than is worth while.

And it's not that hard to lay them out on 20's. you don't even have to touch the firewall. get DJM upper and lower control arms, relocate everthing, get rid of the inner fenders, notch the lower rear control arm mount, notch for tie rods, make sure your cups are short enough and your good to go.

Just cause there's no spindles for a ranger doesn't mean it's "hard"

thanks guys.

clenzer72: camber is nice when its laid out all nice and pretty. But not when rolling I like riding tucking some rim. And im sure you know tires arent cheap And I dont want ot have to replace every 3 months.

kr1s: If i would have known about this back when i had a mustang 2 clip i wouldnt have sold it. I cant Fork out that type money right now.

Im still not satisfied. Does anyone have any ideas other than a front clip change. I do appreciate the input though fellas. I doing the truck in a few weeks. SD parts on order. Im doing the rear first and then redo the trans crossmember. Then the front. So i have a little time to figure something out. Thanks again.

what about raising the upper control arms. or extending them? why does the ranger suspension suck so bad, i mean i love my ranger but it sucks not being able to roll how you pictured your truck when bagging it. I too want to try and help my camber issue so i can roll low. I went through my front tires in about 3 months.

yea i knew about the yota clip too. If i was gonna do a clip though i would just rebuild the whole frame it would probably be easier that way. I know im probably being difficult. I want something different. I was trying to think of parts off of different trucks/ cars that would bolt right up and would be an easy fix for everyone. Thats were the yota spindle idea came in.

I think im leaning towards building new arms. I want to fix it the right way but be different from every other ranger with out spending an arm and a leg. Im confident enough in my measurements and welding to build the arms I just need some insite on what really needs to be done to fix the camber problem.
