does anybody know exactly what the spindles on a 95 accord are made from...

are they cast iron or cast steel?? im going to shorten them for a guy and i need to know what material there made from so i know how to weld them back together..

cast iron and cast steel use diffrent processes to be welded..

so i need to know what the spindles are made from

There was already a thread about welding on Honda knuckles on SSM. It was only a few months ago so you should be able to find it still.

I am 90% sure that the Honda knuckles are cast steel and if addressed correctly should live forever. The biggest issue I see with modified cast parts is the ignorace of stress risers. The pic below shows a modified part that has a more than strong joint while creating two very unwanted stress risers...

Thats a set that we did back in January.....No problems with them and we have done a few more cars as well. Its a major pain in the ass, have fun
