swapping 4wd to 2wd

I was wondering if anyone knew or knows someone that would know how to or how hard it is to convert a 4wd ford to a 2wd. All parts

What year? And what truck?
If its the I beam years rip out the whole front suspension and run a mustang two style set up. Ditch the 4x4 transfer case and get a drive shaft made...

its an 03 ford explorer sport trac.

ok get the tailshaft and drive shaft from a 2wd ST(mite be easier to just swap the whole trans cuz u gota take it all apart to do it) pull the front axle out and put on some 2wd spindles.

Doesn't the old saying go:
"Trade it in on a 2wd"?
