i run 15s on my stock spindles, but i dont think that answers your question...

You don't need a 3" Z. 2 1/2" z will be enough. I would recommend a lower plate even if u just fill in the circled hole and drill a holeto get a bolt in from the bottom that way theres no rubbing of the bag when it moves from travel.

What year C10?

73-87 need about 1.75 to lay flat frame. My friend sectioned his front crossmember and flipped the steering arms to the bottom of the spindle. Works pretty good.

its 81 chevy c10 ive heard that you have to grind on the spindle to clear the rim is that true only for any wheels smaller than 17" how tall is everyone elses lower cup ive heard 1 inch 1 1/4 tall was wondering because dont want to be losing any lift from cutting it to short

if you run slams, you will get plenty of lift. um i made the mistake of runiing no lower cups and now my bags rub. kp components told me 1" overall height for the cups is good but i've even heard down 3/4" is fine. im not using any cups and i get mad lift with my slams.

yep you have to trim the lowers to clear 15s i did when i installed my 3 inch spindles as far as lower cups you dont need them we did a truck on 20s in the frt with no lower cup and it got plenty of lift in the frt with contitech bags
