Laying 1st Gen S-10 on 235/40/18s?

I might be getting a set of wheels, with 235/40/18 size tires.. I read a thread earlier about laying a 2nd gen on 18s, and the max diameter before cutting was 25.1". I used a calculator online and got the diameter of 25.4" for these tires.. I was wondering exactly what I'll need to do to lay. I expected spindles more than likely, but as for relocating/cutting, etc.. Please let me know exactly what I'll be doing. Thanks!

bodydropped or no? if it's not you should be fine. if it is you can relocate your blower motor and move it over to the driver side more and notch your heater box. it's metal unlike some newer trucks that have plastic ones. you'll need spindals and just trim out the frame for the bag and you'll be good to go.

hey man, i replied to your thread on s10forum, but im sure the forum nazi thare edited ir or deleted it.

chances are your tie-rods will hit also....if you dont want to cut or weld on your frame to notch for them, there is a way around it.

you dont have to notch for the tie-rods if you dont want to, it saves you alot of install time, and keeps your frame strong without any notching or cutting.

we have a pre-order list for them started, and its got alot of people on it allready, but theres room for a few more if you need a set.

Those look nice! I can't afford anything like that right now though.. I'll be able to get spindles to help lay, and will have time to do whatever other work is involved just can't afford anything like arms/linkage

How much does anything that has to be notched, actually have to be notched? Anyone have pics? Please let me know all the details!

i only had to notch my frame with my 20s. i didn't have to with 18s.
