Im probably not the best one to start this thread but Ed Boley (HATEMENOW), owner of the truly unique 1978 Olds Cutlass, passed away yesterday due to complications from a motorcycle accident.

Although it had been awhile since I last spoke to Ed, He was as happy and full of life as anyone I had ever met. He was more serious about our sport than and handfuls of people put together in most cases.

The last image I have of Ed is of him laying out the belly of the ole Cut and draggin'r down the street up and over the hill 'round the corner out of sight. Kinda seems appropriate for me to have this memory now.

RIP buddy, you will be missed.....

Damn that sucks. I talked to him briefly at Indy. Seemed like a cool dude. I was looking forward to being in the same class at shows as him cause there isnt many people building bodydropped cutlass' and that one was definitely unique and tough competition. Sorry to hear. My condolences go out to his friends and family.

My most sincere condolences - this crowd of people are some of the most helpful and kind folks I have ever known - if he is held in high regard amongst them, it says a great deal about his character and spirit....take care.

I don't know anyone who really had Beef with Ed. He was always smiling or looking for a way to make your ass smile. We will miss him.

Thats too bad. I remember seeing him drag his Cutlas outside of the campground the first year that I went to Indy Truck Bash. It was the first vehicle I saw drag that night and he tore it up good. May he rest in peace and may his family and friends keep his memory alive.
