i need to order a steering shaft to go between my ranger column and my manual toyota steering box.

i believe the box is a 3/4" diameter w/ 36 splines.

is this accurate or is it metric by chance?maybe you guys that had to get steering u joints can help me out

thanks guys

Can't you use a factory rag joint and some D shaft?

yea but the end pieces that go onto the steering box are different. they don't interchange so i need to get somthing that will fit on the box.

what I did when I converted my truck to right hand drive was i bought 2 Borgeson steering joints 1 to fit my stock s-10 steering shaft and the other to fit the toy gear box that I used. Then I modified the shaft to fit the toy steering joint. The Borgeson steering joints are slip in portions where the shaft goes with a set screw. It worked well for me and I was able to get the steering angle that I needed. Hope this helps.

I also used the borgeson u-joints and shaft to connect my rack and pinion to my Ididit column. All you have to do is measure the diameter and count the splines. Maybe check out borgeson's website.

the units work great just get your spline count and the make of the 2 vehicles
