you know those rides taht arent really one solid color, they are liek two colors and they have the lines in em, like all grey with black line all over em? how do they do it and whats the point? to find high/low spots before paint? i will find a pic if you need one...thanks. they arent rattle can primer jobs?

there guide coating the car/truck its to make sure its stright before paint. to do it after you prime just get a different color paint and mist it over the vehicle

thanks....i thought it was something about checking to make sure how stright it is..........im tring to figure out how to go about redoing my tacoma for like 4th time....so i really need to get to sanding it down...thanks

When you see people rollin it like a paint job the Stripes/Guide coat For the most part is to hide how horible your body work realy is you would be supprised how distracting that striping can be which realy hides the imperfections.

But its also realy good for finding high and low spots if you actualy do some sanding after you have sprayed it on.

black spray bomb? i was gonna sand down my old paint and well... do a little bodywork and spot prime and then primer/seal it black and leave it for a while. i dont really even know......( i need to do something, i have this itch)thanks

3M makes a great product for this if you are going to be doing a guide coat in the future. It's called a dry guide coat. Basically a black powder in a can w/an applicator. You should be able to pick it up at your local paint store.

spray bomb primer is good for...nuthing.

werd, you can use rattle can but make sure it is a rattle can primer. It will sand off easily, I use it all the time at work and no complaints.
