hey guys,i have a 98 f-150 v6 4.2 5 speed, recently the 20 amp maxi fuse under the hood has been blowing, it happened one night i was driving it in the pouring rain and the truck suddenly died....the truck will crank but will not turn over... it is to the point where u put a new fuse in the block, turn the key to start it and before u crank it, the fuse blows... now i know that it must be grounding out somewhere or sumthing, but everyone i ask is stumped... could it be that there is a sensor where if the airbag fuse blows that it trips the fuel pump or sumthing so it cant start ? a safety feature from the factory and u have to reset it or sumthing ? anybody have any ideas ???

are u sure its the airbag fuse? i talked to a ford mechanic and he said there is nothing tied in from the airbag system to like the fuel pump, or security shit

yea its the number 19 spot in the fuse box.. it only lists the location numbers for each fuse, not what their purpose is... but in the owners manual it says number 19 is the "air bag monitor/instrument fuse.... i know, makes no frickin sense to me either, and ive looked all over the damn place besides tearing the dashboard out of the truck for a short... cant find anything, also none of the wires in the harness are tore up from rubbing or dragging or nething
