i'm thinking about spraying my truck daytona blue... my question is with a gallon will i need to get a uniform color underneath i know i should but will it look horrible if idont... my truck is now sprayed blue with sherwin williams spectraprime but the doors and hood are tan... i was planning on spraying those blue prime first but i forgot how expensive spectraprime is(outrageous) any input would be helpful thanx

It would be best to get a solid color under it, but if you lay enough coats it will cover. The stuff covers really well.

seal the whole thing with a cheaper urethane sealer, transtar is about 100 bucks a gallon here and i'm sure it can be found cheaper than that.
