Ok I am working on finding parts for bagging my 82 C10. I don't have any experience with this. I've bagged a few cars with bag over struts, but it really never involved "designing" anything.

I am currently trying to pick a 4 link for this truck. Its basically down to using a KP bolt on 6 link or buying a 4 link kit from suicide doors.

I really like the KP kit, but from reading,it doesn't sound like it will pay out with 22s. Which I'd like to do eventually. Plus I am not really learning anything either.

If I pick a 4 link kit how do i decide about triangulated or with a panhard.? I assume triangulated is limited in travel at some point, but I am not sure.

What up with SuperPivot?

well first off get a triagulated 4 link, and since this is your first 4 link i would just buy a kit triagulated kit from suicide doors. super pivot is so that your link allows you do go side to side and not just up and down.

Check out the 4-Link kits on my site for ideas or maybe I could help out getting you one.

I'd suggest triangulated also.. the FULLY Adjustable kit with 8 super pivot ends would be nice. That or a super-lift kit, for ride quality and more lift.

Check out BioMax's article in the forum for great info.

After a ton of reading. I think I should go triangulated.. Anyone know of the gas tank will be a big issue in this truck?

First off you gotta decide exactally what u want ie. how much lift, do u wanna bang sides, Bag over axle, bag on bar, canti-lever, etc.

I am not a hugh fan of side to side just because i like my suspension to have that "tight" feeling and not so much uncontrolable so i would not go with the super pivots just my .02

I would eitehr crawl under it now and get some measurements for the bar lengths

or

start ripping everything apart then start with the 4 link get your measurements and all that stuff call sd.com or whomever order your link then move on to the front till your new parts come in...

Hope that helped

I think I want to do bags on the lower bars. I am not much into the way bags over the axle looks.

I planned on starting with a 4 link. How would i decide how long to make the bars? Basically the longest ones I can fit?

I should have the bed off by next week, and start actually working on it.
