New License Plate Rules?!?!?!?!? WTF

well i was on my way to go pay a ticket the other day from the last time i drove my truck and got a ticket because my running taillamps went out (the fuse blew) and of course i get pulled over for goin to flippin slow....im like you gotta be fuckin kiddin me ...well the officer comes back to my truck with a list of shit ...but the one that i didnt know about was a new tag rule in florida starting on the 1st of july...is that the tag has to be atleast 24" in from each side and cant be slanted in anyway ..what the hell are they kidding me? do they honestly expect me to redo the whole ass end of my truck because they dont like my tag being slanted?? well they can kiss my ass cause its staying just like it is! btw i did end up getting a ticket for no seatbelt ...go figure....this is partly the reason im selling my truck because i cant pull out of my house without getting pulled over and harrased about shit...im always the one to be pointed out of the crowd and most of the time im not doing anything wrong but still get hasseled about shit....oh yea and he also bitched me out about the tint on my back window...because its 1% over the already factory tint..and he was like well if i had my tint meter id check it an end up giving you a ticket ...but i think thats bullshit because you cant get a ticket for the back window....atleast i think you cant? and there isnt a way for them to check the back window either right? hell i dont know im just tired of always catchin shit from the damn cops because of what i drive....when im in my civic (totaly stock) i never get pulled over EVER.....so what the hell does this happen to anyone else??

You can paint your back window black and it would be legal. This reminds me of the time I was pulled over and told my truck didn't meet the emmissions laws of FL.. Last I checked we didn't have strict emmissions laws here, and seeing that we don't have or need inspections... Go figure.

damn sounds kinda shitty. go inand ask for the specs on what ticket they gave you. i did that when i got pulled over for the same thing. and i got my whole ticket dropped against me, because he misunderstood what he wrote me the ticket for. it was a good thing i had a list that would been about $500 in fines.

HERE IN CALI YOU CAN GO AS DARK AS YOU WANT IN THE BACK BUT YOU HAVE TO HAVE PASSENGER SIDE MIRROR. I DONT KNOW HOW THAT TINT LAW WOULD HOLD UP EITHER.... WHAT DO THEY DO BIG RIG TRUCKERS WHEN THEY HAVE A LOAD BEHIND THEM??? OR THE BOX TRUCKS WITH NO WINDOWS AT ALL??

Here in Ontario, I get pulled over or followed home all of the time. The excuse is because I might be a street racer, or they thought they saw something illegal on my vehicle, or, or, or.....

Unfortunately alot of officers (everywhere) go on a power trip and rely on the ignorance of drivers to NOT know the legality of their modifications. They always hope that you as a driver will take their word as law (even when it isn't), and pay the fines. It is always in your best interest to fully research each supposed offence. That way the next time an officer tries to feed you some b.s., you are fully educated and you have the ACTUAL laws to take with you to court. Most drivers on the road have no clue where their rights lie. That's why groups such as SEMA work damn hard to help us know what the rules are, and prevent governments from making dumber ones.

Alot of laws unfortunately are written very vague and allow alot of room for interpretation. That doesn't automatically mean the officer is right either, it just means a day in court to argue your interpretation of the written law. FIGHT THE POWER.

I can't even count the number of times I have gotten an apology (either written or verbal), because an officer "thought" something on my vehicle (or something I did in traffic)was illegal.

Ive had so many problems up here in WA with cops. Ive gotten tickets for license plate not parrelel to the ground, no rear bumper(even though its an option on mazdas), no driver side mirror. etc... I even got crap bout my ext. cab windows being shaved even though ur not required to have 2 windows on each side of ur truck. Ive even had seriel numbers written down off the top of my bags. cops in WA are fuckin retarted and have nothing better to do. The only time I didnt get a ticket was when I was draggin and got pulled over. He liked my truck and let me off.
