Hey There. I am looking to lower my 1988 nissan pickup. I plan on lowering it 3 inches. I undestand the back can be lowered fairly easily (using blocks), but I am not to sure on how to lower the front.

Does anyone have any advice Thanks

sorry my question was kind of vague. I was kind of looking for any hints/tips that will make the job easier. Will i have to get drop spindles if I go 3 inches or will I be fine with just loosening the torsions.

you can crank the torsion bars for three inches no spindles needed...look under your truck right about where your seats are youll see two long bars(torsion bars) on under each seat follow that bar from the fron of the truck towards the back where it ends there will be an "L" shaped bracket with a bolt going through it...loosen that bolt...repeat for other side i think its a two to one ratio so every inch you loosen the bolt thre front of your truck will drop approx two inches...hope this helps

and no matter what, if adjust the torsions, you need a alignment done afterward

cranking the torsions down stiffens the ride and imo, at 3" its rough.. 4 is the most you can go with a torsion drop, and that's nasty hurtful in ride quality. I'd spend the 250ish and get a set of bell tech 2" drop spindles, then do a 1" torsion drop and alignment in the front and then a 3" angled block in the rear with a pulled middle leaf. just my opinion.

Thanks for the help guys..that was the kind of info I was looking for. Will 2 inch still be a rough ride? Is the alignment something i can do myself. thanks for the help everyone
